Broccoli Curry with Spice Fried Onion and Banana bread
Suitable for vegetarians
I’m moving house on Saturday and so I have to finish all the perishable food even though none of it really comes together as proper meals. Ive ended up eating some odd things, but this meal worked suprisingly well.
 Broccoli Curry recipe:
1 serving of broccoli
1 glass of milk (can be substituted with coconut milk for a creamier curry)
2 tsp green Thai curry paste
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 glass water (can be substituted with coconut milk or regular milk for a creamier curry)
4 tsp gravy powder (I used vegetarian, chicken flavour gravy powder)
pepper to season
1/2 tsp tom yum curry paste (optional)
Slice up the broccoli, place in a saucepan and cover with water. Boil until cooked. Drain the broccoli then put it back on the heat. Add the milk and simmer for five minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients. Heat until it thickens and boils.
Spice Fried Onion recipe:
1 medium sized white onion
1/2 tsp cumin
2 tsp turmeric
3 tsp garam malsala
2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp ginger
3 tsp sesame seeds
1/2 glass of water
Roughly slice the onion. Put it in a frying pan with a little oil, cook, stirring often, until the onion just starts to soften. Add the soy sauce and sesame seeds, cook, stirring often, for another five minutes. Add the turmeric, garam malsala and cinnamon. Cook for another five minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cook, stirring often, until the the onion is cooked through.
